Car Rental Agreement – Konnecta

This Car Rental Agreement ("Agreement") governs all vehicle rentals facilitated through Konnecta ("Konnecta").

By renting a vehicle through the platform, you ("Renter") agree to the following terms:

1. Platform Role

Konnecta is a technology platform that connects renters with independent vehicle owners ("Owners").

• Konnecta does not own or operate vehicles
• The rental agreement is between the Renter and the Owner
• Konnecta facilitates bookings, payments, and communication

2. Eligibility

To rent a vehicle, you must:

• Be at least 21 years old
• Hold a valid driving license
• Provide accurate and verifiable information

Konnecta reserves the right to deny access where requirements are not met.

3. Booking & Rental Period

• The rental begins at the confirmed pickup time
• The rental ends only when the vehicle is returned and confirmed in the app
• Late returns may attract additional charges
• Extensions must be approved through the platform

4. Payments & Deposit

• Rental fees are displayed before confirmation
• Payments must be made via approved methods
• A refundable security deposit may be required

Konnecta or the Owner may deduct from the deposit for:

• Damage
• Fuel discrepancies
• Fines or penalties
• Late return charges

5. Vehicle Condition & Inspection

• The vehicle is provided "as is"
• The Renter must inspect the vehicle at pickup
• Any existing damage must be reported immediately

Failure to report issues may result in the Renter being held responsible.

6. Permitted Use

The Renter agrees to:

• Use the vehicle lawfully
• Drive responsibly and follow all traffic laws
• Keep the vehicle in good condition

7. Prohibited Use

The Renter must NOT:

• Allow unauthorized persons to drive
• Drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Use the vehicle for illegal activities
• Use the vehicle for racing, towing, or misuse
• Operate outside agreed locations without approval

8. Fuel Policy

• The vehicle must be returned with the agreed fuel level
• Any shortage may be charged to the Renter

9. Traffic Violations, Parking & Penalties

The Renter is solely responsible for any:

• Traffic fines
• Parking tickets
• Tolls
• Impound fees
• Any penalties incurred during the rental period

The rental period includes any time until the vehicle is officially returned and confirmed in the app.

If such charges arise:

• The Renter must pay them in full
• Konnecta or the Owner may deduct from the deposit or charge the Renter directly

Failure to settle may result in:

• Account suspension or termination
• Additional administrative fees

10. Damage, Loss & Theft

• The Renter is responsible for any damage, loss, or theft during the rental
• Costs may be recovered from the deposit or charged directly

In case of an incident, the Renter must:

• Notify the Owner and Konnecta immediately
• Report to authorities where required

11. Insurance

• Insurance (if any) is provided by the Owner
• The Renter is responsible for confirming coverage
• Konnecta is not liable for insurance claims

12. Cancellations

• Cancellation policies may vary depending on timing
• Late cancellations or no-shows may attract charges

13. Liability Disclaimer

Konnecta acts solely as a facilitator and is not responsible for:

• Vehicle condition or performance
• Accidents or injuries
• Loss or damage of property
• Disputes between Renter and Owner

14. Indemnification

The Renter agrees to indemnify and hold Konnecta harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising from use of the vehicle.

15. Suspension or Termination

Konnecta may suspend or terminate access if:

• This Agreement is violated
• Fraudulent, unsafe, or abusive behavior is detected

16. Changes to Agreement

Konnecta may update this Agreement at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
